9. Weesen, a great place to stay near Nafels. The mountains in the distance are the Churfirsten, a series of 2000+ meter (7000+ foot) notches. |
10. Vrenelisgartli, another great climb near Rautispitz (on the right), with year-round snow. Vrenelisgartli is more technical than Rautispitz, involving a glacier trek and a difficult traverse. The top is around 10,000 feet. Just a climb to the Swiss Alpine Club hut beneath the glacier is a lot of fun, however. |
